Welcome to Little Wooded Retreat

The Little Wooded Retreat is our first cottage and is loved by many. This tiny among tiny but feels so much bigger cottage is only 8×8. It is dark brown to match the surrounding woods, making it look even smaller, but the inside is quite roomy! It contains a full-sized very comfy memory foam bed, Mid-century-modern furniture and a vintage cabinet. A power strip is an arm’s length away and steps away Is the tiny fireplace, potable water and electric tea kettle. Cabinet contents include French press, fresh ground organic coffee, teas, dishes, and lots of other necessities. A 32-inch TV is mounted strategically above the bed and is a great fallback on a cold winter night. This adorable cottage is warm even in -25 degrees Fahrenheit. We know, we lived in it one whole winter! The 3×3 windows open fully with screens, but open or closed they provide light and views of woods and wildlife. Behind the cottage is your personal bathroom with a camping toilet and bucket shower. The natural light and beautiful wood make this outdoor bathroom unique and inviting. In the winter, feel free to request use of the main house shower. The full-sized fridge on the back of the main house contains a darling basket with your breakfast and plenty of space for your things. On either side of the fridge is a cabinet with dishwashing needs and a water spigot for extra water. On the side of the main house is a patio with an outdoor kitchen, fully stocked with a microwave, blender, toaster, hot plate and dishes. Help yourself! You also have your own grill and outdoor patio with a picnic table, Edison lights, a fire pit and plenty of firewood and even a hammock. So serene! Park next to the cottage and instantly relax.
